Apple has officially announced dates for its annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC).
In a new press release, the company confirmed the full event will run from June 5 until June 9. Like last year’s WWDC, the event will be online only, with an in-person event offered on the first day of the conference. Each year Apple holds the conference, and it primarily focuses on the software side of the Apple ecosystem, showing off new features that will be available in the next major updates, such as iOS and macOS.
“WWDC23 is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.
Although Apple did not specify what will be shown at WWDC 2023, we can expect the iPhone maker to unveil iOS 17 and watchOS 10. Though a software-focused event, last year’s WWDC included the announcement of the M2 chip and the first supporting devices. We could get some new Apple hardware, such as a model refresh of the Mac Pro desktop computer, which has yet to support Apple silicon.
Though the biggest rumor leading up to WWDC 2023 is that Apple may use this event to unveil its long-rumored mixed-reality headset.
