Respawn has shared details about Apex Legends’ upcoming Halloween event called Monsters Within. The new event will run from October 12 to November 2 and it will bring a new Arenas map, Shadow Royale limited-time mode, cosmetics, and more.
Monsters Within brings the new Encore map for Apex Legends’ Arenas mode. The map is located on Seer’s home planet Boreas and it is an open map that requires strong environmental awareness to succeed. The layout of Encore offers two high-ground power positions, VIP Lounge and Performance Stage. Along with this, the game gets Shadow Royale LTM, where Legends who are killed will respawn in Shadow form to take revenge from their enemies and assist their living allies. As Shadow lives are infinite, squads cannot be eliminated until the last living Legend dies, making the game mode intense and competitive.
The Monsters Within event comes with new reward track that includes spooky cosmetics such as Epic skins, gun charms, and Epic holosprays. During the event, Apex Legends also adds Monsters Within packs that cost 400 Apex Coins. The Monsters Within pack will have a guaranteed non-duplicate event-limited item. Along with these, Respawn is bringing classic Halloween-themed skins to the in-game store including Wraith’s ‘Mistress of Evil’ and Crypto’s ‘Deadly Byte.’ The Monsters Within event will add a total of 40 new Halloween-themed items. These items can be crafted using crafting materials and Respawn has said, “After two seasons, crafting metal costs of Monsters Within Items may be reduced.”
