I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant and Dec have promised the new All Stars series will be more ‘brutal’ than anything we’ve ever seen before.

First launching way back in 2002, the reality series has put famous faces through their paces with countless stomach-churning challenges, and last year a handful put their hands up to do it all over again.

After being filmed in South Africa, the special season is starting soon, and while the format is tried and tested, the hosts have said it will be tougher for the campmates than ever before.

‘It is so good. It is very different and some of your favourite cast members from the past 20 years have been given another challenge in South Africa and this time they are competing to become the first ever I’m A Celebrity legend,’ Dec explained while appearing on This Morning on Friday.

‘But the trials are tougher, the living conditions are tougher.

‘It is people you’ve seen before so you know what they are like and that they are going to deliver and they really do. It’s a lot of fun.’

His co-host then jumped in and backed up the comments about how brutal it had been for those taking part.

‘They’ve got to decide who does the Bush Tucker Trials and ultimately who leaves the show,’ he explained.

‘We have head-to-head Bush Tucker Trials, and the loser goes, so for them it is a far more brutal and a tougher experience than the first time around, and it has to be. We have to put them through it.’

Making up the line-up for the season are Carol Vorderman, Paul Burrell, Jordan Bango, Shaun Ryder, Helen Flanagan, Fatima Whitbread, Phil Tuffnel, Amir Khan, and Janice Dickinson.

When teasing some details of her time back in the jungle, Carol also called it ‘brutal’.

‘We filmed late last year. I haven’t told a soul what happened, but I can tell you it was brutal,’ she posted on Instagram this week.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! All Stars launches later this month on ITV.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
