Get your tissues ready because Angelica Panganiban is at it again with another heartfelt testimony, this time, especially dedicated to her fiancé Gregg Homan’s first Father’s Day celebration.
In an Instagram post, the award-winning actress uploaded a video compilation of sweet moments—from cuddle time to play and sleeping time—between Homan and daughter Amila Sabine, who is almost nine months old.
The long-time Star Magic artist shared how she’s long been searching for the meaning of a father’s love.
“Mula noon pa, kung saan saan ako naghahanap ng ibig sabihin ng pagmamahal ng isang ama,” the former child star shared in her post’s caption. (Even from a long time ago, I’ve tried searching everywhere for the meaning of a father’s love.)
“Madalas napapanood ko lang sa mga pelikula, nababasa sa mga libro, o paminsan nakikita ko sa mga kaibigan ko [at sa mga tatay nila],” Panganiban added. (Often, I’ll only see it in movies, or read about it in books, or sometimes, I’ll see it among my friends and their fathers.)
The 36-year-old first-time mom expressed how she feels lucky to now witness and feel what seemed to her as an elusive father’s love.
“Hindi ko akalain na magiging mapalad ako ngayon, na nakikita at nararamdaman ko na siya [ang pagmamahal ng isang ama],” said Panganiban, who did not grow up with her biological father. (I did not expect that I will be fortunate to now witness and feel a father’s love.)
Continuing the tribute for Homan, Panganiban told her fiancé how lucky their daughter is to have him as her father.
“Napakaswerte ni Amila at ikaw ang una nyang pag-ibig, kalaro at dada. Maraming salamat sa pagganap nang buong-buo at higit pa,” the actress explained. (Amila is so lucky to have you as her first love, playmate, and father. Thank you very much for performing the role of a father completely and doing even more.)
She would end her message telling Homan, “Mahal na mahal ka namin. (We love you so much.) Happy Father’s day, daddy” [heart emoji].”
Homan, in the comments section, responded, “How not to cry po?” adding, “You get me every time, Honn! [face throwing a kiss emojis].” “Daddy loves you both so much [teary-eyed face emojis].”
Angelica gave birth to Amila Sabine, who they also call Bean, in September last year. Earlier this month, the pair in a YouTube video mentioned their plan to get married next year in the country. EDV
