Andhra Pradesh CM to release Jagananna Vidya Deevena on Wednesday – Times of India
“We have spent Rs.14,912.43 crores towards ‘Jagananna Vidya Deevena’ and ‘Jagananna Vasathi Deevena’ in the last four years including releasing the unpaid dues during Chandrababu Naidu regime,” said education minister Botcha Satyanarayana. He said that the state government launched ‘Jagananna Vidya Deevena’ with an avowed aim of providing higher education to the poor students.
He said that the government has been reimbursing the total fee, regularly on a quarterly basis soon after completion of the quarter, directly into the accounts of the mothers of students pursuing ITI, Polytechnic, degree, engineering, medicine and other courses without any limit on the number of eligible children in a family.
He said that they have also launched “Jagananna Vasathi Deevena’ to take of students boarding and lodging expenses. The state government is granting an annual financial assistance of Rs.20,000 to students pursuing degree courses, engineering and medicine, Rs.15,000 to Polytechnic students and Rs.10,000 to ITI students in two instalments

State government launched schemes like ‘Jagananna Vidya Deevena’ and ‘Jagananna Vasathi Deevena’ providing total fee reimbursement along with boarding and lodging expenses.
*State government has revised the curriculum by including a 4-year UG Honors degree along with job oriented modules and 30% Skill Development Courses to increase the employability of the students and to meet the industrial needs.
*As part of their Curriculum, Online Verticals have been introduced through which the students can pursue necessary skills in online mode.
*By introducing a 10 month mandatory internship, government is preparing students to cope with industrial requirements
*Signed MoU with Microsoft to provide training to 1.62 lakh students in 40 Skill Development Courses where 1.20 lakh students have already completed their training in Microsoft Technology.
