Allison Holker has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss following his funeral.
The talented performer, most known for his appearances on the Ellen Show, died in December at the age of 40, with his wife confirming the heartbreaking news.
Announcing her other half’s death in a statement to People, she wrote: ‘It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into.
‘He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.’
Holker continued: ‘To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt.
‘I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honour his memory.’
She then requested privacy during the ‘difficult time,’ especially for the couple’s three children: Weslie, 14, Maddox, six, and Zaia, three.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officials confirmed that Boss took his own life, and left a note at the scene.
His loved ones have now said their final goodbye to him at his funeral, with Holker later posting a sweet video to honour his life.
Shared to her Instagram page, the emotional video showcases pictures of the couple throughout their relationship, while Rihanna’s song Lift Me Up plays in the background.
Holker wrote in her caption: ‘To my husband, best friend, babe, Chee-chalker, Superman and father of my children I LOVE YOU FOREVER and ALWAYS!
‘We will forever remember you as the true beacon of light that you were and we will continue to cast your light and love throughout the world.’
She concluded: ‘Thank you for our incredible memories and our beautiful life shared together.’
Holker received a wealth of support from fans and famous friends, with Dance Moms star and professional dancer Maddie Ziegler commenting: ‘❤️❤️❤️sending so much love’.
Choreographer Brian Friedman wrote: ‘Sending you and the family all of my love Allison ❤️ RIP Icon’.
Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts commented: ‘Sending so much love. So sorry. ????????????’
Jessie J also added that she was ‘so sorry’, while Ellen DeGeneres wrote: ‘His light lives on with all of you.’
The talkshow host previously paid tribute to her former colleague and friend, describing Boss as ‘magic’ and saying she will ‘never make sense’ of his death.
Becoming emotional in an Instagram video, she said on December 23: ‘The past 11 days have been really tough for everyone. Everyone is in pain and trying to make sense of it. We’ll never make sense of it.’
Ahead of the Christmas period, she said the festivities were going to be ‘hard,’ but she wanted to honour Boss by laughing, hugging others, playing games, dancing, and singing.
‘That’s the way we honour him, is we do the things that he loved to do – which is dancing, he loved music, he loved games. So we do that,’ she said.
‘I know it seems hard, it seems impossible, but that’s how we honor him. And hug each other and tell each other we love each other, and let people know we’re there for them, and check in on people,’ DeGeneres continued.
‘Happy holidays, everybody. I know it’s not a happy holiday. But he was pure light, as everybody in the comments said.
‘If you knew him, you knew that. If you didn’t know him, you saw it. Let’s honour him and think about him and send love to one another.’
The late star rose to fame in 2008 while competing in So You Think You Can Dance – and eventually ended as a runner-up.
In 2014, he joined the Ellen Show, before being named executive producer in 2020.
