Alia Bhatt sings and dances to Shreya Ghoshal’s part from Tum Kya Mile in a new reel

Alia Bhatt appears to be smitten with the first song from her upcoming movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The song, titled Tum Kya Mile, features Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh’s vocals and has gained immense popularity due to Bhatt’s portrayal in a chiffon saree, romancing with Ranveer Singh in Yash Chopra’s signature Bollywood style. Although the song received mixed reactions, Alia has released another version of it in which she lip-syncs while on holiday at an undisclosed beach location.

On Thursday, Alia took to Instagram and posted a dramatic reel of herself dancing and singing the new song from her upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Pehle pahado mein aur ab beach pe… hum toh gaate rahenge #TumKyaMile.”

The video begins with Alia caressing the water with her hands, causing ripples. The scene then shifts to her face, where she is seen lip-syncing to the lyrics sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Alia displays various expressions throughout the clip, even while sprinting on the beach.

Tum Kya Mile provides a sneak peek into the typical elements of Karan Johar’s cinema. The scene features Alia dressed in beautiful chiffon sarees singing to Ranveer against the backdrop of snow-covered mountains. This is the second time Alia and Ranveer have worked together, the first being in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.

The film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi and is slated to hit the cinemas on July 28.
