Adele is riding high as her critically-acclaimed fourth album 30 soars to the top of the charts.

While promoting her emotive new tracks, 33-year-old Adele has opened up about her recent divorce from Simon Konecki.

The star revealed why she instigated the split in a candid chat with US TV mogul Oprah – including sharing how the divorce has impacted the couple’s son, Angelo.

But just how old is Adele’s little one, and what has she said about him?

Here’s what we know.

Adele’s son Angelo was born on October 19, 2012. That makes him nine years old.

His birth wasn’t publicly announced until 2013, when mum Adele paid tribute to him in a Golden Globes speech.

Angelo’s dad is Simon Konecki, who Adele had been dating for around a year at the time of Angelo’s birth. (Adele married Simon in 2018, and later got divorced.)

Pictures of Angelo have never been shared publicly – and his last name has never been announced.

However, in recent months, Adele has opened up about the nine-year-old’s reaction to the divorce.

In a chat with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, she said she feared: ‘What if he hates me forever?’

Adele also described the meaning of the 30 song My Little Love: ‘I was just so consumed… by so many things, to be honest with you, so many different feelings.

‘And [Angelo] plucked up the courage to very articulately say to me, “You’re basically a ghost. You might as well not be here.”

‘When he said, “I can’t see you.” And I’m like, what kind of poet is that? For him to be little and say, “I can’t see you,” to my face broke my heart.’

In the dreamy track, Adele sings directly to Angelo – and his voice features in-between the verses.

Snippets of conversation between mother and son, recorded via voice notes, revealed the duo’s heartbreaking conversations.

‘I feel like you don’t love me,’ we hear Angelo say.

Adele responds: ‘You know mummy doesn’t like anyone else like I like you, right?’

She later croons: ‘I’m sorry if what I’ve done makes you feel sad’.

And in another voice note recording, Adele tells Angelo: ‘I love your dad ‘cos he gave you to me. You’re half me, half daddy.’

Does Adele have any other children?

Nope, Adele is currently a mum-of-one.

She and ex-husband Simon only have one child together – though Adele did have a stepdaughter, from Simon’s previous marriage.

Looking to the future, Adele told Oprah in the CBS sit-down that she would be ‘open’ to another child.

‘I would like more children. It wouldn’t be the end of the world if I didn’t because I have Angelo, but yeah, I think so.’

Adele is currently in a relationship with 39-year-old sports agent Rich Paul, who reportedly has three children of his own.
