Queen Charlotte star Corey Mylchreest reveals ‘foot injury’ on set of Bridgerton spin-off
The Sandman actor, 25, plays King George in the raunchy Netflix period drama which focuses on his romance with Queen Charlotte and her rise to prominence and power.
Golda Rosheuvel reprises her role as the monarch, while India Amarteifio plays the younger version of the character in the six-part series.
But it seems that while filming the juggernaut series, which has delighted fans with having a gay romance and plenty of sex scenes, the Rada-trained star required medical attention.
On Instagram, Corey shared a slew of behind-the-scenes antics from Queen Charlotte, including a picture of his left foot in a brace and crutches.
However, Corey seemed to shrug off the incident and didn’t address it in his caption, writing: Apparently there’s a show out today?! Who’da thunk it??
‘These are the guys who made some of the best months of my life ????
@bridgertonnetflix #queencharlotte.’
As well as giving fans a glimpse into filming, Corey also shared pictures of himself having some downtime between filming with his fellow cast members.
Golda previously spoke to Metro.co.uk ahead of Queen Charlotte’s launch and tipped Corey, as well as India, for huge success.
She said: ‘I think the beauty of Bridgerton is that it does have that core ensemble, but the core love-aspect relationship changes every single time. There’s something very familiar, but then within that there’s a shift, and you root for that love story in every single season.
‘Regé-Jean [Page] and I often text, I love what he’s doing. He’ll just go up and up and up and up and up, the same with Phoebe. I love the fact that these shows, Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte, for India and Corey [Mylchreest], all the young actors in the show – it’s a launch pad for them.’
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is available to stream on Netflix.
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Corey and Netflix for comment.
