Princess Charlotte wears J.Crew floral dress in photo with late Queen

Princess Charlotte was one of many of the late Queen’s great-grandchildren who posed with the late monarch in a photograph just before she died. The photograph, which was taken by Kate Middleton, was recently released to mark what would have been Queen Elizabeth’s 97th birthday.

In the photograph, Charlotte posed right behind Queen Elizabeth and wore a red floral dress.

With the exception of Savannah Phillips who also wore red, everyone else in the picture wore either blue or green tones which blended into the decor of the room.

Princess Charlotte consistently wears the colour blue on royal outings and also in official birthday portraits.

For instance, she wore blue at this year’s Easter Sunday Service as well as last year. Charlotte additionally wore a blue jumper for her seventh birthday portrait.

It is called the “Girls floral long sleeve smocked dress”. It is from a past season, therefore is no longer in stock.

However, a version of the dress in an orange floral print is still available to buy for £89.

Royal fans loved Princess Charlotte’s style and took to social media to praise the J.Crew dress.

Instagram user @lpreuer said: “Cute.” Similarly, @jesspgh added: “Lovely dress!”

One royal fan noted that Charlotte did not wear her usual colour on this occasion with the late Queen.

Royal fan @margaretavandervloet wrote: “This time, not a blue dress for Charlotte, such a sweet young lady.”

Prince George wore the shirt to celebrate his fourth birthday back in 2017, a year before Louis was born.

In the photograph taken by the Princess of Wales featuring the late Queen, Prince George could be seen wearing a “Thomas Brown ‘Oliver’ shirt in camel check from Trotters Children’s Wear.
