Corach Rambler heads a field of 40 for the Grand National on Saturday, in what is sure to be another thriller of a renewal. The Scottish-trained gelding has been popular among punters since winning back-to-back Ultimas at Cheltenham, and he looks bred for a true stamina test over the bigger obstacles.

Though the National is known for springing an upset, as shown by last year’s race when 50/1 shot Noble Yeats sauntered clear under Sam Waley-Cohen. The seven-year-old bids for a famous double on Saturday, though he has to contend with a 20lb rise in the weights.
