Fawad Khan joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Ms. Marvel is perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of the series. Fans have been waiting for weeks to watch him appear in the show and now, he has finally made his MCU debut. After appearing in an Easter egg in the previous episode, episode 5 of Ms. Marvel introduces Fawad Khan as Hasan – Kamala Khan’s (Iman Vellani) great-grandfather.

Ms. Marvel’s fifth episode is set before the Partition of Pakistan and India. This is where Hasan meets Aisha (Mehwish Hayat), Kamala’s great-grandmother who is one of the Clandestines. After a meet-cute, their bond turns into a romance and they start a family. Fawad plays the role of an Indian freedom fighter and his scenes have started a fan frenzy.

A fan wrote, “Look at the charm he brings to the screen. Fawad Khan in Ms Marvel y’all.”

Another wrote, “#FawadKhan saying “hum leke rahenge Azadi, Jor se bolo Azadi” while playing an Indian freedom fighter against the oppressive British regime just might be the best thing from MCU for a long time.”
