Cabinet nod to hike in honorarium of basic school instructors, cooks – Times of India

There are over 27,000 instructors in the state. Similarly, the honorarium of 3.77 lakh cooks posted in primary schools has also been increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000. The government will also provide a pair of clothes worth Rs 500 to them once in a year.

In a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath, the state Cabinet approved nine of the ten proposals brought before it.
“Total 10 proposals were examined out of which nine were approved. One proposal was deferred for some reason,” cabinet minister Suresh Khanna said.

In another important decision, a five-member committee, presided over by minister Suresh Khanna, has been constituted to look into the proposals that are put forth before the Cabinet. Besides Khanna, ministers Baby Rani Maurya, Jaiveer Singh, Yogendra Upadhyay and Dharampal Singh have been made the members of the committee who will examine the proposals.

“The state government will ensure production of 10 lakh litre of HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) on its own in the coming days. HPLC is a kind of ethanol which was being imported from China all this while but arrangements are being made to manufacture it in the state,” said Khanna.

Within the next few days, the Purvanchal Expressway that connects Lucknow to Ghazipur will be handed over to a private company for toll collection on the 341-km long high-speed corridor.

“An ambulance and 12 patrolling vehicles will be deputed to help motorists who get stranded. The announcement regarding toll charges will be made soon,” industries minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ said.

The Public Works Department (PWD) will ensure that the roads that are being constructed through rural infrastructure development funds, provided by NABARD, are maintained by the contractor for a period of five years. Up to 10% of the project cost will be offered to the contractor as maintenance charges.

The Cabinet also gave its nod to the transfer of land on Lucknow-Rae Bareli road to the medical education department. The land measuring 5,393 sq m will be handed over to the SGPGI for the construction of a building where the kin of patients will stay. The land belonged to the irrigation department.
