Bunty Aur Babli 2 Trailer OUT: Saif-Rani, Siddhant-Sharvari are up for a fun-filled ride

The out-and-out family entertainer Bunty Aur Babli is finally coming back with a sequel titled Bunty Aur Babli 2. While the fans were still rejoicing after the announcement, the makers on Monday cheered them a bit by sharing the much-awiated trailer. Featuring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari in the lead role, the fun-filled film is all set to release on the theatres on November 19 this year. The announcement of the traielr release was made by Siddhant on Instagram through a post which was captioned, “Trailer aa gaya hai! Milte hai bade parde par Link in bio. Celebrate #BuntyAurBabli2 with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 19th November’21 #SaifAliKhan | #RaniMukerji | @pankajtripathi | @varun.v.sharma | @yrf.”

It’s a clash of generations as OG Bunty Babli takes on the New Bunty Babli, making it a riveting rib-tickling entertainer. Sharvari will imbibe all the characteristic traits of Babli — highly intelligent, sassy, always up for a great challenge, and most importantly a supremely talented con-woman. The new Babli is tech-savvy, she is a product of the digital boom and thus, supremely skilled and equipped to pull off intricate cons.

Siddhant’s Bunty is diametrically opposite to Saif Ali Khan’s Bunty avatar. Siddhant is technologically forward and full of tact, Saif is sharp-witted but unaccustomed to how the digital boom has changed the art of conning people and made it extremely complex.

Speaking about the film, Chaturvedi said,”‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ is an extremely special film for me because it presents me as a Hindi film hero for the first time in my career. I have waited for this moment for some time now and I can’t wait to see the reaction of the industry and audiences. It is a huge project to be a part of because we have all grown up watching ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ and playing Bunty is a dream come true moment for me.”

Sharvari said, “I was honoured that YRF could see me as the new Babli in the film. ‘Babli’ is an iconic character in the history of Indian cinema, thanks to Rani ma’am’s incredible work in the first film. I’m a big fan of her and hope that I have done justice to the role.”
