Another day, another interesting new modification for Bethesda’s new hit title – this new 8K Starfield Planets mod adds layers and AI upscales planet textures from 4K.
Created by modder ‘Revan’, the “8K Planets” mod for the PC version of Starfield adds new layers to the original textures of the game’s planets and AI-upscales textures from 4K to 8K resolution. In addition, the mod includes original NASA textures from the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter.
Starfield PC players can try out this new Starfield Planets mod via Nexusmods. As always, be sure to follow the provided installation instructions. As said, the link also includes optional original NASA planet textures for Luna, Mars, Venus & Jupiter. Down below you’ll find the key features of this mod. Starfield is available worldwide now for PC and Xbox Series X|S. As covered some days ago, Betheda’s new sci-fi RPG already surpassed 6 million players across all platforms, and in the UK, the game is off to a great start, topping last week’s retail sales chart.
Here’s what we wrote about Starfield in our Starfield launch review: “With an engaging story, well-developed characters and lore, and a huge amount of meaningful content, Starfield is one of Bethesda’s finest games and one of the best role-playing games released in the past few years.”
