Elon Musk on Thursday announced that he has found a new chief executive for Twitter. The Tesla billionaire said in a tweet that her role will transition to being Twitter’s executive chairman and chief technology officer.

“Excited to announce that I have hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in 6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair and CTO, overseeing product, software and sysops,” Musk tweeted.

However, Musk did not reveal the identity of the person and informed that she will be starting in about six weeks.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Linda Yaccarino, the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, is likely to become the new CEO of Twitter.

As per her LinkedIn profile, Yaccarino has been with NBC Universal since 2011.

Yaccarino had served at Turner as Executive Vice President/COO of Advertising Sales, Marketing, and Acquisitions.

She studied liberal arts and telecommunications at Penn State University.

According to reports, Linda is known to be a supporter of Elon Musk and had interviewed Tesla chief at an advertising conference in Miami last month.

According to India Today report, Yaccarino is known to be very close to former US president Donald Trump. During his term, Trump had named Linda to serve a two-year-term on the President’s Council of Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.

Yaccarino has been an industry advocate for finding better ways to measure the effectiveness of advertising, according to the WSJ.
