$2 Million Worth CS:GO Cosmetics Stolen By Hackers

Many games put great value towards the in-game inventory the player collects. These cosmetic items hold a lot of value for the collector as they can be sold for real world money through the complex trading system in the games. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a title that has a similar system, where collectors invest a lot of money towards in-game cosmetics and then sell it for real world money later.

Through the latest revelation, we have learned that a hacker has got his hands on a collector’s prestigious inventory, which was worth approximately $2 Million. This inventory is considered to be the most expensive in the game and the hacker has wiped the slate clean. Players have learned about this information through a tweet by ohnePixel.

According to his tweet, $2,000,000 plus inventory was hacked and stolen and certain items were getting moved and sold while he was informing the people about it. He stated that this is the most valuable inventory of all time and contains the most legendary items in CS:GO history. Items that were hacked included extremely rare souvenir dragon lores, no-star karambit, #1 blue gems and so much more.

He is urging the people to share this information so that it reaches someone from the developer teams at CS:GO or Steam so that this matter can be looked into immediately. He has stated that the people from the respective teams should message him as he can make them get in touch with the collector.

He further added that half of the items have been quicksold already and are now lost, but the other half still remains and has been sent to the hacker’s Steam account. If the developers are quick enough, they might be able to recover at least some of the lost inventory for the avid CS:GO collector. Many players are still bewildered by the fact that the hackers were able to get their hands on all this inventory so easily.
